TESDA Visit Prepares Groundwork for Cruise Tourism and Maritime Careers Convention on June 11-12, 2024



A productive meeting with Sec. Suharto Mangudadatu of TESDA was held in anticipation of the upcoming Cruise Tourism and Maritime Careers Convention, scheduled for June 11-12, 2024, at the SMX Convention Center in Manila. This strategic gathering focused on aligning TESDA’s initiatives with the convention's goals to bolster the cruise tourism and maritime sectors.


Sec. Mangudadatu emphasized TESDA’s commitment to enhancing the skills and competencies of the Filipino workforce to meet the growing demands of the cruise and maritime industries. He highlighted ongoing and future training programs designed to equip seafarers, hospitality staff, and other maritime professionals with the necessary expertise to thrive in these dynamic fields.



Discussions also covered collaborative efforts between TESDA and industry stakeholders to ensure that training programs remain relevant and responsive to industry needs.
